ANOMALY ARCHIVES eNEWSLETTER - June, 2006
<www.AnomalyArchives.org/enews/archivenews0606.htm>

Salutations from the Anomaly Archives!
The volunteer staff of the Anomaly Archives wanted to take a moment and let you know about all the great and exciting things that we offer and how you can be involved!
We also want to make sure you are receiving this monthly email newsletter and to alert you that we are going to be switching our electronic newsletter distribution over to the Yahoo Groups service. In the past year and a half of this newsletter's operation we have determined that a high percentage of email newsletters have not been delivered to our hundred plus person email list. There are a variety of reasons for this problem but we've finally decided
to migrate over to this often used service for its commonality and ease of use.
So just a quick reminder - this Anomaly Archives eNews update is free to the public and can be delivered directly to your email in box by subscribing to the list via Yahoo Groups.
Please Subscribe to the new Anomaly Archives eNewsletter by sending an email to: <AnomalyArchives-subscribe@yahoogroups.com> . If you don't subscribe to the new Yahoo Groups elist then this is the last Anomaly Archives eNewsletter Update you will receive. You should receive your official invitation to subscribe to the Anomaly Archives Newsletter Yahoo Group shortly. If you choose not to subscribe to the email list you can always visit the archived back issues here on the web at <www.AnomalyArchives.org/enews/> and beginning with this new issue also at <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AnomalyArchives/> .

Please feel free to come by during our hours of operation and check out all the great books we have to offer.
Upcoming Events and Ways You Can Help
Dean Radin at The Crossings
Legendary modern parapsychologist Dean Radin will presenting a lecture and workshop at The Crossings this July 21st and 22nd. This is an extraordinary opportunity to see one of the 21st
Century's leading thinkers on Anomalous Phenomena. His new book Entangled Minds promises to be every bit as illuminating about quantum physics and parapsychology as was his fantastic work The Conscious Universe. Please see the links below to find out the specifics of this incredible event co-sponsored by INACS (Institute for Neuroscience And Consciousness Studies) and Austin IONS.
Tesla Study Group
Join S.A.I. as they partner with SONAV Productions and playwright J. Jimenez-Smith as they explore the life and works of scientist Nikola Tesla! This study group will discuss the historical background of Tesla, as well as working modules of some of his more fascinating inventions, and will culminate with a production of a play created out of it in for SONAV's 07-08 season! Keep watching for an invitation to its initial event, a showing of the documentary, Tesla: Master of Lighting and applications to the group!
Expansion of Parapsychology Section
The Anomaly Archives has recently received a generous donation from The San Antonio Parapsychological Association and will be adding them to our shelves as soon as possible! This collection will add approximately 200+ new books to our already extensive collection on the subject. Come by and check it out!
Volunteering and Donations
We are in need of volunteers to work in the archives to help with the shelving and maintenance of the library. Volunteers who donate 5 volunteer shifts of 4 hours apiece of their time receive a year's free membership as well as invitations to exclusive S.A.I. events. Contact us to find you how you can volunteer today!
We are also in need of some new bookshelves. We will accept shelves of any size. If you have any, or know of where we can get some inexpensive ones, let us know. The more bookshelves we have, the more we books we can have available for you!
Hours of Operation
Tuesdays 5 - 9 pm and Saturdays 1 - 5 pm.
The library is also available by appointment; contact JP Smith, assistant curator, to set up a time to come in. See email below and phone number below.
Membership
Membership to The Anomaly Archives is $20 annually. This gets you access to all the collections housed in the archives, as well as invitations to exclusive members-only events. Check out our website to find out more info.
Members of the organizations that keep their collection with us (Jung Society, Austin MUFON, et al) are able to check out books from their organization. To check out any other materials, you must be a member of The Anomaly Archives.
Monthly Meeting
Monthly Meetings of the Anomaly Archives are held First Saturdays of Each Month, from 1 to 5 pm at the Human Potential Center, 2007, Bert Avenue, 78704.
However, there will be no official meeting this Saturday, July 1st.
We wish you all a happy July 4th Holiday!

UpComing Events You Should Know About
Co-sponsored with The Institute for Neuroscience and Consciousness Studies (INACS) and the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS) Dean Radin, Ph.D.
Our everyday experience of the world presents us with independent objects, separated in space and time. Our perspective of reality involves concepts such as cause-and-effect, force, and a persistent, stable reality. This worldview, learned early in life, is reinforced by Western education and society, and is taken for granted by most adults. Occasionally there are challenges to this worldview. One example is the development of quantum mechanics, which has dissolved most of the basic assumptions underlying common sense reality. Another is psychic
phenomena, commonly reported but scientifically controversial. In this evening lecture, Dean Radin, a senior scientist with IONS, will present the possibility that psychic phenomena are the human experiences of quantum reality, as discussed in his new book, Entangled Minds. We will examine this idea by considering:
• what quantum entanglement is
• the fundamental differences between classical and quantum realities
• the latest scientific evidence for psychic phenomena
• why these effects are important
Course 05900-212, Tuition $15 | Tuition discounts are not available.
Dean Radin studies the nature of human consciousness, focused on phenomena such as intuition, gut feelings, and “psychic” phenomena. He is the cofounder of the Boundary Institute and is a senior scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
JULY 22nd - Entangled Minds: Understanding Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality
Co-Sponsored with The Institute for Neuroscience and Consciousness Studies (INACS) and the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS) Dean Radin, Ph.D.Nearly everyone has had the experience of knowing who’s on the line before picking up the phone or dreaming events before they happen. Many scientists believe that such common experiences are due solely to coincidence, wishful thinking, and other delusions. That belief is driven strongly by the lack of a plausible theory for how such “psychic” experiences can exist, and not by the actual scientific evidence. This one-day workshop explores this evidence that some psychic phenomena do exist, and the possibility that a rational explanation for psychic phenomena may be on the horizon.
Course 05900-213, Tuition $95 | Housing fees; page 35. Tuition discounts are not available.
